What is the history and popularity of the app? was created as a way to help users get together at a time that is most convenient for everyone involved. The application’s focus remained on keeping things as simple as possible. Users can get right to work planning the perfect meeting or event time in three basic steps. Today, many users turn to NeedtoMeet as a simple, polite way to find out when meeting or event attendees will be available.

What are the differences to other apps?

Although the general purpose of Need to Meet is not really original, the way the application approaches the task is. Many applications pack features in that some users really do not need. NeedtoMeet keeps things as simple and basic as possible so the user gets exactly what they want.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

The NeedtoMeet website welcomes visitors with a clean design and fun logo in grey, white and black. A blue header and narrow black trim help the user locate the five main navigation links. The actual scheduling tools are extremely simple to understand. The application uses calendar pages with available days highlighted so the user can immediately pick out the perfect date and time for their event.

How does the registration process work?

To get started, a new user can click the blue and white “Schedule a Meeting” button in the lower, left hand side of the homepage. The form provided is short and simple. The first step asks for a meeting title, duration, venue and short description. The user can check the “include a map” box if they like or leave it blank. After filling out the form, the user can click the grey and black “Select Times” button at the bottom of the form. This takes the user to step two which includes a basic calendar with two radio buttons at the top. The radio buttons let the user choose between a one time meeting or recurring meeting. The user can move ahead or back two weeks if they like and begin filling in their availability by clicking on the time slots. After submitting the times, the user is given access to the link to share with attendees and an email entry field if they prefer to send the information that way.

What does it cost to use the application?

NeedtoMeet offers users a free membership. There are no subscription fees or set up costs for creating a new meeting. This is definitely a good thing because the application offers a very watered down service compared to other schedule related applications.
